Wrong power draw - Aputure XT26
Hey! I was working with the Aputure XT26 just recently and remember it was drawing 3500w on AC. I’m sure Aputure is also stating that on their official technical paper of that very unit. Maybe you could update that! Please tell me otherwise if I’m falsely informed. Cheers! Mo
Vortex 8 discrepancy
Hi, what a great tool and I can’t wait to see the next improvements! I will like to point out that there are some discrepancies in the Vortex 8 data, for example in lightcalc with native 20° beam 5600K at 5m gives a reading of 2940 lx when Creamsource’s website gives 5200 lx, haven’t have the chance to practically check these readings myself but I will very soon. Also it would be great to add the Maxibroute series of tungsten lights, or maybe just the different types of Par64 bulbs and from there we can scale up to whatever fits. For the future It would also be great to have the ability to mix different types of lights, for example I like to rig on a Condor HMI and Tungsten together, so having the ability to know the readings of these units combined would be really helpful. Last but not least and this is probably the most complicated thing, having the option of bouncing material also, like the most popular ones, Ultra bounce, Silver , Chequerd and of course the CRLS, this would be something completely new and never heard of!

I subscribed, but the MINIMUM ev the app shows is stops at +3 and doesn’t go below no matter what I do.
Amaran ray lights addition
Could you add the amaran ray series lights like the 360c and 660c as well as amaran f22c? Much appreciated
Fixture Request: Lupo Superpanel Pro Full Color and other Lupo models
Hi, I’d like to request the addition of Lupo fixtures to the library — ideally covering the full range, but especially the Superpanel Pro Full Color models (30 and 60), which I’ve been working with recently. I’ve been referencing their photometric values manually in Excel for now, but it would be great to have them integrated directly into the software for a more accurate and efficient workflow. The official datasheets, including detailed photometric data for all models, are available here: 👉 https://www.lupo.it/en/download/lights-datasheet/files Thanks for considering this request!
Add a step-by-step tutorial.
As a novice cinematographer, it's still quite difficult for me to understand how from A to Z: Being on location, how do I take all the measurements I need (with an light meter). To later record these measurements in lightculc to calculate which lighting device is needed to achieve the desired intensity at a given distance. I'm trying to figure it out, but without a clearer explanation, or even better, a video tutorial and instructions, it's harder to understand. Therefore, such instructions would be very, very useful for beginners like me. "To be taken and held by the hand" (shown) step by step how to perform all these processes.
User diffusions
Allow user to add their custom diffusion using a name and transmissionY property
Use multiple different fixtures as keylight
Allow users to choose multiple different lighting fixtures to act as one single keylight source
Aputure 600
Is it possible to add the domes with the aputure settings. Cause usually, at interviews, you use the aputures as key light with the domes on. That would be very helpful.
Suggestion: Change Dashboard illuminance values to T-Stop
Change illuminance values for key, subject, ambient etc. from lux/fc to T-Stop
Keylight Filters
Support to filter keylights based on different factors such as: max power draw, light type (LED, tungsten, HMIs), min. throw distance for given camera settings
Project Sharing
Allow Pro Users to share a read only view of their dashboard with crew & colleagues.
Save & Load Functionality
Implement Save & Load functionality for users to store and load their setups
Dedolights fixtures and reflected light
Ad dedolights fixtures. Ad dedolight fixtures with paralel beam intensifiers. Ad lighstream reflectors. Ad lighbridge reflectors. Ad liteflow reflectors. Ad projection attachments for dedolight, godox, aputure, nanlite. It would be of great help for those looking to starting using mirrors and reflected light.
Suggestion: Light photo metrics comparison
Might be cool to have a compare page, for example. If I want to compare what a X lights do at each distance, similar to the one built into Sidus Link but with LightCalc’s library.
